Composting
We decided to study composting because we read on the internet that it was good for the environment.
We learned by researching and asking the kindergartners in our school that composting using worms to make fertilizers that can be used to grow new plants and crops. We invited the Kindergarten kids to our class and they helped us to answer the questions on the chart below. Also they help us to put the worms into our new composting bin as you can see in the photos. Now that we have our own composting bin in the classroom, we can't to use the new soil for planting in the spring. |
